At the Institute of Occupational Health “Dr Dragomir Karajovic” in Belgrade, the ambassador of Slovakia to Serbia, Fedor Rosocha, handed over to the director of the institute, professor Dr Aleksandar Milovanovic, a Doppler ultrasound device worth EUR 75,000, as a result of the project “Building the Efficient Functioning of Public Administration Organs for Work Inspection of Occupational Medicine Services in Serbia and North Macedonia”.
The carrier of the project is the Regional Development Agency Senec – Pezinok, in cooperation with Slovak Aid, and the total value of the donation is EUR 207,300. The planned project implementation period is until September 2023.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the staff level of the institute and to increase the technical capacities. The register of occupational diseases that will be secured through the project will strengthen the quality of healthcare for the employed. At the same time, the Slovakian project offers knowledge transfer when it comes to an efficient state control of occupational medicine.
