Prime Minister of Serbia, Mirko Cvetkovic stated that the Contract of concession for construction of Horgos-Pozega highway can not be broken off as it is still not on power.
Cvetkovic also said that the term during which the concessionary "Sever Jug Autoput" could close down financial construction was not over yet.
- The temr is until December, 31st, and only after this date we can discuss about new activities which the Government will take in - Cvetkovic stated, saying that the Government still doesn't have any knowledgment that the concessionary has broken down anything. He confirmed that the Government received yesterday (December, 16th, 2008), a notice from the concessionary and that it was familiar with the proposal of mediation in resolving of the problem.
The Government of Serbia will do anything to avoid court interferance in concessionary contract for Horgos-Pozega highway and to creat conditions that the construction of Corridor 10 starts in March, it was stated by Oliver Dulic, Minister for protection of living environment and environmental planning.
Dulic pointed out that it was in everybody's interest to avoid the court, which even tough it doesn't stop the construction, could certainly creat inconvinience for the concessionary and for the state, as well as unnecessary costs which the Governmnet wants to avoid.
-In any case, December, 31st is still the deadline when concessionary should provide financial construction, and if he doesn't do it, the guaranties he gave for that and for finalization of the job will be activated, Dulic said.
