Australians seeking gold and copper in Serbia under a new name – MinRex becomes Northstone Resources, Serbian subsidiaries rebranded as Dukat Resursi

Australian mining company MinRex Resources Limited has changed its name to Northstone Resources Limited following shareholder approval at a meeting held on September 30.

Starting October 6, the company will trade on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the new name and the ticker symbol NRL.

As the company announced to the ASX, the name change is part of the group’s new corporate identity. Northstone Resources will serve as the parent company, while its Serbian subsidiaries will be consolidated under the Dukat Resursi brand.

In recent years, the company has focused a significant portion of its exploration portfolio on Serbia, where it holds gold and copper projects, including Tlamino near Bosilegrad and East Timok near Bor.

At the Tlamino project, the company is exploring the Barje and Surlica zones.

Notably, MinRex recently released results from nine new diamond drill holes at the Barje deposit, where it intersected 36 meters grading 5.85 g/t gold.

Northstone states that following the name change, the company will maintain its focus on mineral resource exploration and development, with Serbia remaining one of its key areas of operation.

The corporate name change does not signify a change in project ownership or a halt to activities in Serbia. Rather, it represents a rebranding of the company that previously operated as MinRex Resources.
