Graded intersection to be built over E-70 highway in airport zone

The Ministry of Construction has issued location requirements to the City of Belgrade for the construction of the graded intersection Nova with a crossing over the E-70 highway in the Nikola Tesla airport zone and parts of the S4 and S27 roads, near the Radiofar settlement.

The project plans a graded intersection of the half-cloverleaf type that will connect the S4, S22, S23 and S27 roads, consisting of two indirect and two direct ramps.

The ramps are designed to take up as little space as possible without compromising comfort and safety while driving. The width of the overpass over the state road will be 18 m, of which the total width of the roadway will be 13 m, and the sidewalks on both sides will be 2.5 m wide. As specified, this traffic solution bridges the existing state road with a pillar in the work zone, and the structure will be constructed as a semi-prefabricated structure, so that scaffolding is not required.

– Narrowing the traffic profile is only necessary during the construction of piles for the pillar in the separation zone. With the construction of roads S4 and S27 on high embankments, it is necessary to build retaining walls that will prevent the embankment slopes from exceeding the regulatory limits.
