Belgrade Subway gets Master Integrator: To coordinate all project participants

A contract for the provision of master integrator consulting services has been signed for Line 1 of the Belgrade Subway. As announced by the Belgrade Metro and Train Public Utility Company, the engagement of a master integrator is the basis for establishing efficient coordination of all project participants and integrating the future subway system into a single functional unit, which is of key importance for its safety, reliability and efficient operation.

The contract was signed on behalf of the client by the Acting Secretary for Public Transport of Belgrade, Slaven Andric, and the Acting Director of the Belgrade Metro and Train Public Utility Company, Andreja Mladenovic, while on behalf of the consultant, the company INGEROP T3 S.L.U. and its branch INGEROP T3 S.L. Belgrade, the contract was signed by the General Directors Alvaro Gomez-Rey Romero and Arnau Piza Cloquell.

The Master Integrator will be involved in all phases of the project implementation – from system design and development, through coordination of construction and technological works, management of technical interfaces and system integration, to testing, commissioning and preparation for certification. Their engagement, as indicated in the statement, will enable timely resolution of technical challenges, efficient cooperation of all participants and the application of international standards in the field of systems engineering.

Andreja Mladenovic emphasized that the signing of this contract represented one of the key stages in the implementation of the first subway line.

– The Belgrade Subway is not just the construction of tunnels and stations, but an extremely complex system in which all elements must function flawlessly together. That is why the role of the master integrator is crucial – to unify the work of all participants in the project and ensure that the future subway is safe, reliable and ready for operation from day one. Engaging a master integrator is a standard in all subway projects in the world and is further proof that we are implementing the Belgrade subway project in accordance with the best international practice. This is an important stage that confirms that the project is developing according to plan and is entering a new phase of implementation – said Mladenovic.

He added that the engagement of a master integrator would enable systemic coordination of all project participants, more efficient management of technical challenges and successful integration of all subsystems of the future subway, which will further reduce risks during implementation and ensure that the first line of the Belgrade subway is built in accordance with the highest standards of safety, quality, interoperability and reliability.

Alvaro Gomez-Rey Romero stated that Ingerop was honored to be trusted to participate as a master integrator in the implementation of the first line of the Belgrade Subway, one of the most ambitious subway projects in Europe. He emphasized that they were entering the project with full commitment, relying on the international experience of their experts and close cooperation with domestic partners.

– Our task is to ensure the coordination of all segments of the project, so that the future subway system is safe, reliable and efficient. We are aware of the responsibility that comes with the construction of the first subway in Serbia and we believe that by working together with all the partners, we will contribute to the successful implementation of this significant infrastructure project – he said.
