Spanish company Ingerop to be responsible for system integration of first line of Belgrade Subway – Memorandum signed

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic, representatives of the Public Utility Company Belgrade Metro and Train, the Secretariat for Public Transport of the City of Belgrade and the Spanish company Ingerop T3 S.L.U. signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of the system integration project for the construction of the first line of the Belgrade Subway.

– With today’s signing, we are taking another decisive step towards the implementation of one of the most complex infrastructure projects in the modern history of Serbia. The Belgrade Subway is a matter of strategic development, economic growth and the quality of life of our citizens – said Minister Sofronijevic.

The Memorandum was signed at the Government of the Republic of Serbia on behalf of the Secretariat for Public Transport by Slaven Andric, Director of the Public Utility Company Belgrade Metro and Train Andreja Mladenovic, and on behalf of the Spanish company Ingerop Alvaro Gomez-Rey Romero.

As she stated, this is an extremely complex undertaking that requires a high level of coordination between a large number of participants and advanced technologies, and the involvement of renowned international partners and the application of the highest standards of systems engineering will ensure that all segments of the project, from design and construction to commissioning, are implemented according to the highest global standards of safety, reliability and efficiency.
