The Government of Serbia has decided to open a permanent border crossing for international rail passenger and freight traffic Belgrade-Centre, which will be established at the Belgrade Center - Prokop rail station.

As stated in the decision, this border crossing will handle international rail passenger and freight traffic that is not subject to inspection by inspection services, while tasks within the jurisdiction of the border police and customs will be performed by the competent services continuously, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in accordance with the integrated border management system in the Republic of Serbia.

The decision enters into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.

As has been reported in the media, it is planned that at least one daily departure from Prokop to Budapest will be non-stop (certainly on the territory of Serbia, and for the rest it depends on the Hungarians), and only such departures will be able to use the new (“prestigious”, i.e. propaganda-populist, in other words: unnecessary - according to the editor-in-chief of eKapija) border crossing.

(Wikipedia)
