Fuel excise duty increased by 12.5%

The Government of Serbia has increased excise duty on petroleum products by around 12.5% compared to the previous week.

According to the new decision, which is applicable from June 22 to 28, the excise duty on unleaded petrol is 64.80 dinars per liter, while until June 21 it was 57.60 dinars. The excise duty on gas oil (diesel) has been increased from 59.23 to 66.64 dinars per liter, and on leaded petrol from 61.24 to 68.90 dinars per liter. In all three cases, this is an increase of approximately 12.5%.

Let us remind that the temporary reduction in excise duty was introduced in mid-May as a measure to mitigate the consequences of rising oil prices on the world market. In the previous period, excise duties were reduced by around 20% compared to the legally prescribed amounts.
