Swissotel, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn to be built in Serbia with state incentives – Government approves EUR 10 million for three new hotels in Belgrade, Zlatibor and Novi Pazar

The Ministry of Tourism and Youth has allocated a total of EUR 10 million in incentive funds for the implementation of three hotel projects in Belgrade, Zlatibor and Novi Pazar. These investments represent a significant step in strengthening the tourism and hospitality offer, as well as the overall economic development of the country, the relevant ministry announced.

Contracts were signed with representatives of the investors: Zoran Kostic (Euro KB Rent – Swissotel Belgrade), Zoran Mitrovic (Luss Leisure – Crowne Plaza Zlatibor) and Denis Hadzibulic (Doha Invest – Holiday Inn Novi Pazar).

The total value of investments in the three hotels exceeds EUR 139 million, while around 500 new jobs are expected to be created, which will significantly contribute to employment and the development of local economies.

– The projects include modern hotels with high capacities and accompanying facilities, which will contribute to the development of business, congress and family tourism. The arrival of three major global hotel brands represents an important step forward in improving the overall tourism offer of Serbia. These are projects that raise the standard of hotel accommodation and improve the quality of service – the statement says.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia, at the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, has approved the allocation of subsidies for the construction of the Holiday Inn hotel in Novi Pazar, the Swissotel in Belgrade (within EXPO 2027) and the Crowne Plaza in Zlatibor. The Ministry previously conducted a Public Call for the allocation of incentive funds to improve the quality of hotel accommodation services.
