Final designing stage for RHPP Bistrica to begin – EPS announces tender worth EUR 5.2 million

Elektroprivreda Srbije has announced a public procurement procedure for the preparation of the needed investment-technical and planning-urban documentation for the Bistrica reversible hydroelectric power plant project, whose estimated value is 610 million dinars, or about EUR 5.2 million.

The goal is to complete the documentation necessary for making key decisions and obtaining all necessary permits, so that construction can begin smoothly.

The tender includes documentation related to the reconstruction and expansion of the Radoinja dam, including the preparation of a preliminary design, a design for a building permit, as well as accompanying studies, from geotechnical and seismic analyses to numerical modeling of spillway structures. An update of the project feasibility study is also planned in accordance with the new costs.

A special part refers to the planning of the landfill of excavated materials, where it is necessary to develop preliminary designs, geodetic bases, geophysical surveys, urban projects and complete documentation for obtaining a building permit for two locations.

The project task also includes the analysis and rehabilitation of potentially unstable slopes in the area of future facilities, regulation of the Kratovska River bed, as well as defining anti-erosion measures in the Bistrica basin, through studies, conceptual designs and accompanying technical studies.

A significant segment also refers to property-legal affairs, i.e. the development of re-parcellation projects and studies for expropriation, with the provision of IT support during the procedure.

In addition to technical documentation, the development of environmental impact assessment studies for key parts of the system is planned, including the reconstruction of the dam and the formation of the landfill, with a complete accompanying procedure.

The tender also includes consulting services, which include professional support during the loan approval process with international financial institutions, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), along with checking the project’s compliance with their requirements.
