Mali: Test flights of air taxis to take place in Serbia next year

The first test flights of air taxis will be organized in Serbia next year, and depending on the regulations, it will be estimated when these taxis will be introduced into everyday use, said Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.

– A new era in aviation is being born, and these are mobile air taxis. Last week, we signed an agreement in Davos with an American company from California, which is a leader in this field. This is the future, and we need such a future for the sake of young people – Mali told RTS.

Let us remind that after Serbia chose Archer Aviation as a partner in the development of electric air taxis, it was specified that our country would be among the first in Europe to introduce the commercial application of eVTOL aircraft, through the option of purchasing an initial fleet of up to 25 Midnight aircraft. This opens up space for the development of a regulatory, technical and operational framework for urban air transport, but also for gaining practical experience that will be valuable in the future development of this industry.
