You've definitely heard that social networks are the best means to advertise in Serbia as well as that there is a handful of those who have "made a business out of Facebook advertising!" However, when it comes to both promotion and advertising on social networks, the success of a campaign does not come by chance and cannot be easily taken out of the context of the company's overall marketing and operations.
General impression is not misleading - most campaigns on Facebook actually takes place within the most popular social media network. These are so-called "Like Campaigns" that usually aim to attract target people to the Facebook page of the company in order to use that page as a communication channel from that moment on. But, this is only one of the shapes or goals of various types of campaigns. Which campaign to choose generally depends on the real needs and strategies of each firm.
The only "general spot" or the absolute goal of every Facebook campaign is, in the vocabulary of digital marketing - conversion. This "desired action by the user" can be aforementioned conversion of "click to like," then the conversion of "click to lead," that is, identification of potential buyer/user and his/her contact details; then there is also the conversion of click to green light for the installation of an application, and, finally - conversion of click to customer - as an ultimate goal of the campaign.

In practice, for example, if a company decides to carry out a campaign that aims to attract people to its website, the most usual conversion is to generate "leads" or directly attract buyers. In that case, an absolutely necessary component of the advertising campaign is so-called "landing page." A well-prepared page on the company website that describes in an effective manner the terms of a campaign represents an actual example of how a landing page should look like, but this landing page can also be an online form aiming to identify interested people, adequate information about discount, or anything else consistent with the Facebook ad on which the user clicked.
