Agreement signed on construction of battery factory in Indjija – Drone factory planned in six months

The agreement on construction of a factory in Indjija for the production of high-tech batteries for drones, humanoid robots, unmanned vehicles, advanced power tools and home appliances was signed at the Palace of Serbia.

The framework agreement is worth EUR 100.5 million, and was signed by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Municipality of Indjija and Jiangsu Reliance Energy Tech.

After signing the agreement, President Aleksandar Vucic said that this was one of the world’s best companies for the production of batteries for home appliances, drones and robots.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic pointed out that this was a dynamic and technologically advanced company.

– It has reached the top in the field of modern battery technologies. The company has an impressive team of experts, they provide enormous innovation potential, as evidenced by patents and cooperation with leading world companies from various industries – said Vucic.

He expressed his belief that this would be an additional milestone in our future economic development. As he said, the state will try to create a full supply chain in Serbia.

– From robots to drones, and I hope that within six months we will create one of the largest drone factories here in Europe – Vucic emphasized.

Chen Xuan, director and founder of Jiangsu Reliance Energy Tech, stated that she hoped that the company’s new factory in Indjija would contribute to the growth of Serbia’s GDP, increase the number of new jobs and strengthen all related industries in the country. She indicated that the main reason for opening the new factory was that Serbia was a friend of China and added that the friendship between the two countries was the best reason for any Chinese company to invest somewhere. She emphasized that the second reason for choosing Serbia as a country for a new investment was the spirit that was felt in communication with Serbian representatives.
