New drone factory to be built near Belgrade

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia would soon start producing advanced drones, worth around 30,000 euros, stating that production would initially be launched on a smaller scale, and then gradually expanded.

– We will make some of the most modern drones in the world. These are not drones that you can buy for 1,000 or 2,000 euros. We also have such drones, Komarac 1 and Komarac 2, and they are at the disposal of the Serbian Armed Forces – said Vucic.

He added that the new drones would be significantly more expensive and sophisticated.

– We will make drones here that cost around 30,000 euros. So, we are talking a serious force. That will be in about twenty days, and then we will slowly expand production – said Vucic.

Speaking about the location of the new production, Vucic stated that the factory would be near Belgrade, in a smaller place, noting that it was possible that it would be in the territory of the Cukarica municipality.
