More than 1,000 international candidates among volunteers registered for EXPO 2027

More than 7,400 candidates have applied for the volunteer program at the EXPO 2027 Specialized Exhibition in Belgrade, including 1,025 from abroad, it was announced today.

"Their desire to be part of the organization of the largest international event Serbia will host demonstrates that EXPO 2027 is not only a meeting place for countries and ideas, but also for people who want to contribute to its success with their knowledge, energy and enthusiasm," EXPO 2027 said in a statement.

The largest numbers of applicants from abroad come from Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, North Macedonia, Austria, Switzerland, Japan and Montenegro.

- We are extremely pleased that more than a thousand people from over 62 countries around the world have decided to apply for the EXPO 2027 volunteer program. This shows that interest in our exhibition is growing worldwide and that people want to be an active part of it - EXPO 2027 Director Danilo Jerinic said.

He added that volunteers will be the first hosts visitors meet upon arriving in Belgrade, which is why their role will extend far beyond organizational support.

As he stated, through their knowledge, smiles and hospitality, they will represent Serbia and the values promoted by EXPO - cooperation, connection and understanding among people.

Applications for the volunteer program are still open, and interested candidates can find all information about the EXPO 2027 volunteer program on the official website of the EXPO 2027 Belgrade Specialized Exhibition.
