The Office for Information Technology and eGovernment has launched the initiative “You propose - the Office for IT and eGovernment digitizes” within which citizens and business representatives can propose administrative procedures that need to be digitized in the coming period.

The aim of this initiative, as announced by the office, is to improve public administration services through direct user participation and further eliminate unnecessary procedures, paperwork and waiting in lines.

Citizens and businesses can propose services that they want to be available online, describe specific administrative problems they have encountered, list situations in which they have been asked for additional documents and what those documents are, the statement says.

– With more than 2.8 million registered eCitizens, e-government in Serbia already represents one of the key services for citizens and businesses, and this initiative aims to further develop services in accordance with the real needs of users. All received proposals will be analyzed, and the Office will, in cooperation with the competent institutions, work to make the proposed procedures simple, efficient and fully digital – it is emphasized.

They wish, as added, to hear from citizens and businesses about what takes up their time, where obstacles arise and what can be done better.

– This is another step towards making public administration a true service for citizens. Our goal is to develop services with a focus on citizens, and digitalization is a means to make their everyday lives simpler – said Mihailo Jovanovic, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment.

The survey for proposals is available at the link You propose - the Office for IT and eGovernment digitizes!
