Rogozna surprises again: Gradina deposit bursting with gold, there’s much more than 37 tons there

Australian company Strickland Metals has released new drilling results at its Rogozna project near Novi Pazar, which show that gold mineralization at the Gradina deposit extends well beyond the limits of previous resource estimates. The previous estimate of Gradina was about 37 tons of gold, and the new drilling suggests that the actual extent of the deposit exceeds that number, although the company has not yet issued an updated quantitative estimate, Australian media reports. Special attention was paid to the so-called Gap Zone, the area between the northern and southern parts of the deposit, which was previously considered to be less mineralized. Australian sources state that the results from this zone brought long and high-quality gold sections, confirming that the zones are interconnected and form a single system. The mineralization remains open in all directions, including towards the surface, which suggests additional potential for resource expansion.

Strickland Metals management, as reported by Australian media, emphasizes that the new drilling has confirmed the geological model and expectations for further growth of the deposit, especially in the central part of the system.

Rogozna is located within the Tethyan metallogenic belt, an area known for its large porphyry and skarn deposits. The project includes several deposits with a total resource that also includes other metals, such as copper and silver, which further increases the potential, while Gradina has been singled out as a key segment of the project due to its high gold content and favorable deposit geometry, suitable for future exploitation.
