Novi Sad hosts Third Traffic Fair – Safety and efficiency in focus

The Third Traffic Fair, an event dedicated to improving traffic safety and efficiency, opened yesterday at the “Master” Congress Center at the Novi Sad Fair and last until today, October 21.

This event brings together numerous experts, institutions and organizations dealing with the development of traffic infrastructure and culture, with a special focus on the safety of traffic participants.

The opening of the fair was also attended by Aleksandar Bulajic, member of the City Council for Traffic and Roads, who on that occasion emphasized the importance of continuous investment in traffic safety in the territory of the City.

– The City of Novi Sad is constantly working to improve traffic safety for all age groups - from preschool and primary school children, through young drivers, to elderly people over 65 – said Bulajic.

He added that “special emphasis is placed on preventive activities, such as the distribution of car seats and education of the youngest.”

– We believe that safety is formed from an early age – said Aleksandar Bulajic.

During the fair, visitors have the opportunity to attend presentations and panels where experts in the field of traffic, safety and transport are exchanging experiences, present innovative solutions and initiatives.

The Fair program is adapted to all ages, and the youngest will learn about the importance of traffic safety through games, a training ground, traffic signs and educational performances.

The Traffic Fair is organized by the Novi Sad Fair and the Traffic Safety Center, with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport, the City Administration for Traffic and Roads, as well as numerous institutions and organizations that actively work on improving traffic safety and infrastructure.

The opening of the Fair was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences Boris Dumnic, Dean of the Faculty of Traffic Engineering in Doboj Miroslav Kostadinovic, Director of the Traffic Safety Agency Branko Stamatovic Assistant Chief of the Traffic Police Administration Zlatko Belencan and General Director of the Novi Sad Fair Slobodan Cvetkovic.
