Regular passenger traffic established on railroad to Subotica – Total of 13 train pairs

Passenger trains between Belgrade and Subotica officially started operating on Wednesday, with Inter City (Soko) and Inter Regio trains operating, but not Regio Express and Regio trains, which will only operate on the Belgrade-Petrovaradin-Belgrade route.

The first departure from Prokop to Subotica was today at noon on Inter City train 546, while the first departure from Subotica to Belgrade Center was also at noon on Inter City train 547.

The timetable between Belgrade and Subotica currently includes 18 Soko departures, nine in each direction, from 6 am to 10 pm every two hours (Inter City departures will be at even hours). These trains will stop at official locations: New Belgrade, Petrovardin, Vrbas Nova and Backa Topola and the estimated travel time will be 79 minutes, Srbijavoz announced.

There will also be 8 Inter Regio train departures between the capital and northern Serbia, four in each direction. They will depart from Belgrade at 7 am, 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm, and from Subotica at 5 am, 9 am, 1 pm and 5 pm. Inter Regio trains will stop at official locations: New Belgrade, Nova Pazova, Stara Pazova, Indjija, Petrovardin, Zmajevo, Vrbas Nova, Lovcenac-Mali Idjos, Backa Topola and Zednik. The travel time of the Inter Regio train on the Belgrade Center-Subotica route will be 99, and 98 minutes on the Subotica-Belgrade Center route, Srbijavoz indicated.

Other Inter Regio trains (numbers 640, 643, 644, 647, 648, 651, 652, 655, 656 and 657, or trains 615 and 616) will operate to/from Petrovaradin station, the company states.

– During the promotional period until October 12, Srbijavoz will issue free train tickets for trains operating to and from Subotica. Passengers can collect their tickets at the ticket office, via the Srbijavoz mobile application and website. To travel on Inter City trains (SOKO) and Inter Regio trains, it is necessary for passengers to obtain their train tickets in a timely manner, as this ensures a seat reservation. Passengers can find out about available seats on Inter City trains at the ticket office and via the internet (mobile application and website) – Srbijavoz reminds.

Novi Sad station is not open for the reception and dispatch of passengers until further notice, the company said.

When it comes to purchasing tickets at the stations Zmajevo, Vrbas Nova, Lovcenac-Mali Idjos, Backa Topola and Zednik, ticket sales will not be organized at the box office or through ticket machines, so passengers are recommended to purchase their tickets via the mobile application. At Subotica station, ticket sales are carried out in a prefabricated building located in the station area, which is marked.
