Yusei to build facility for 280 workers in Nis in late 2025 or early 2026 – Investment in new factory to be higher than EUR 26 million

The Memorandum of Understanding which entails the construction of a new facility of the Chinese company Yusei, which has been operating in Nis for years, has been signed at the Town Hall of Nis.

The memorandum envisages for the construction of the new facility to start at the end of this year or the beginning of next year, and there will be jobs at the new factory for 280 workers of all profiles.

On behalf of the Government of Serbia, the agreement was signed by the minister of economy, Adrijana Mesarovic, and on behalf of Nis, by the mayor, Dragoslav Pavlovic, as well as the representative of Yusei, Tao Chen.

– They planned a new investment in our country and decided to build a new factory, close to the existing factory, which will employ another 280 citizens of Nis. The factory which currently operates in Nis employs 200 people. The projection is that, by the end of 2026, it will be employing 280 people – said Mesarovic, as reported by local media.

She pointed out that the value of the first investment was nearly EUR 20.6 million and revealed that the investment in the new factory would exceed EUR 26 million.

– In the first phase, there will be 280 new jobs, but that doesn’t mean that it will end there. There are strong guarantees from the company for it, and we also saw this during the talk with Mr. Xu, who is the company’s president, when we visited Yusei in the city of Hangzhou. That’s simply a good beginning. Two years from this moment, there will surely be more than 500 employees at Yusei, which will expand considerably – said Pavlovic.
