Tender for new maternity ward in Nis by end-year – Investment worth EUR 70 million

By the summer of 2028, Nis should get a modern maternity ward of 20,000 square meters, and the opening of the tender for the selection of the contractor is planned by the end of the year, announced the minister for public investment, Darko Glisic, while on a working visit to this city.

At the meeting with the mayor of Nis, Dragoslav Pavlovic, they agreed to intensify the activities on this project, which is currently in the final phase of the preparation of the project and urban planning documentation, whereas, by the end of May, the documentation for the opening of the tender is expected too.

Minister Glisic said that he expected the tender for the selection of the contractor to be opened by the end of the year and for the project to be completed two years from the beginning of the works. It is realistic for Nis, as a center toward which around 2 million people gravitate, to get a new maternity ward by the summer of 2028.
