The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia will finance 12 projects within the Program for Development of AI Projects.
A total of 70 research teams had responded to the public invitation which closed on January 31, 2020. The Science Fund says on its website that 53 projects went into the First Evaluation Instance, whereas 25 went into the Second Evaluation Instance.
The program aims to stimulate the excellence and relevance of scientific research in Serbia in the domain of artificial intelligence, to stimulate the implementation of the results of scientific research in the AI domain in the development of Serbia's economy, as well as in the development of human resources in the AI domain. In the next two years, these projects will be realized by research teams from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac.
The beginning of the realization of the projects is expected during this month.
