This fulfills all conditions for closing the transaction, and D Express and City Express, the latter being wholly owned by Austrian Post, will now operate within the same group. The long-term plan is to merge the two companies into a single parcel delivery entity in Serbia.
With the closing of the transaction, D Express and City Express are beginning a phased collaboration aimed at combining their experience, infrastructure, and operational capacities to further develop business operations in Serbia, Austrian Post stated.
During 2025, D Express handled approximately 14 million parcels, generated revenue of around EUR 36 million, and employed 1,300 people. The company operates a fleet of about 800 vehicles and maintains a logistics center in Belgrade, 27 delivery depots, 35 parcel shops, and over 300 parcel lockers across Serbia.
City Express has been operating in the Serbian market since 2002 and has been wholly owned by Austrian Post since 2007. The company provides domestic and international parcel delivery services for both business and private customers.
Austrian Post signed the agreement to acquire 100% of D Express from United Group in July of this year. The purchase price was not disclosed at the time.
