Austrian Post to acquire D Express

D Express has announced that an agreement has been reached between United Group and Austrian Post on the acquisition of the company.

As stated, City Express, a company wholly owned by Austrian Post, will merge with D Express into a single company, creating one of the leading operators in Serbia's postal and parcel services market.

Austrian Post will acquire 100% of D Express, and as part of the transaction, it will take over the employees, client contracts and infrastructure, including a logistics center in Belgrade, 27 distribution centers, 45 parcel shops and more than 300 parcel lockers for package collection, according to the company's statement.

Completion of the transaction will be subject to regulatory approvals, and closing is expected at the end of the fourth quarter of this year. Until then, D Express will continue to operate as usual under its existing management, while clients will continue to use its services under the same terms.
