Up to 40,000 drone motors per month from Kotraza factory – Production to start in October

Production of motors for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is set to begin soon in Kotraza, near Lucani, marking the arrival of the first factory of this type in this Dragacevo village. According to businessman Milenko Kostic, the first phase of the factory is nearing completion, and operations are expected to start in early October.

Kostic told Dnevnik Zapadne Srbije that the factory equipment had already arrived and that some workers had been hired, while others were already undergoing training.

– The first phase of the drone motor factory is nearing completion. I think operations will begin in about ten days – Kostic said.

The factory is expected to hire workers in three phases, and according to him, initially, around 50 people could find employment, with the total workforce rising to between 60 and 70 across all three phases.

Earlier announcements suggested the workforce could eventually reach 150, while the planned production capacity is up to 40,000 motors per month.

Kostic noted that the idea for drone motor production had come from Zeljko Mitrovic, while he himself, as he put it, wanted to help develop his native region.

– It is a great thing for our area, for people to stay, live, and work here, and for the village to come back to life. That is what matters most to us – Kostic said.
