Serbia considering development of its own small satellites – Possible application in agriculture and in relation to climate change

Serbia is considering the development of its own small satellites, and the introduction of this technology was announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the International Space Summit in Paris.

According to him, this summit is very important because it is taking place in an era of global political challenges.

– And there is a struggle, on the one hand between the Americans and the Chinese, but on the other hand between the Europeans and everyone else, because the Europeans also want to occupy their own space. And I believe that this is very important for us too – said Vucic, as reported by RTS.

He noted that Serbia could not compete in launches and everything else with large countries, but that it could find its place in it.

– We can have our own small satellites, we can have sensors, we can do everything that is important in terms of agriculture, climate change. In addition to agriculture and climate change, there’s the defense industry, there are natural disasters and the ability to prevent and monitor them – Vucic emphasized.

According to him, these are things of exceptional importance, to which little attention has been paid in the past.

– We are here to learn, to see, to talk to the best world companies and to see what we can do together – Vucic emphasized.
