International tender for supervision of reconstruction and expansion of Bogojevo Port worth EUR 3.2 million announced

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has announced an international tender for the selection of expert supervision of the reconstruction and expansion of Bogojevo Port, and the estimated value of the contract is EUR 3.2 million excluding VAT.

As published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), the subject of the procurement is supervision services according to FIDIC rules and domestic legislation during the implementation of one of the most significant projects for the modernization of river infrastructure in Serbia.

The project envisages the reconstruction of the existing port area of approximately 16 hectares and a 167-meter-long waterfront, as well as the construction of a new terminal for bulk and general cargo on an additional approximately 30 hectares, with a new 230-meter quay. The works also include the construction of an access road, internal road and rail network, sewage, water supply and electricity infrastructure.

A special challenge is the fact that the existing port capacities will have to remain in operation during the works.

The tender is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the budget of the Republic of Serbia, within the framework of the financing agreement for the development of the inland waterway infrastructure of Serbia.

The contract for professional supervision will be signed for a period of 42 months, while the deadline for submitting applications is September 15, 2026.
