Government establishes Working Group for selection of strategic partner and expert supervision for construction of E-761 motorway branch from Kraljevo to Novi Pazar

The Serbian Government has adopted a Decision on the establishment of a Working Group for conducting the procedure for the selection of a strategic partner and expert supervision for the implementation of the project to construct part of the infrastructure corridor, the E-761 motorway branch, Kraljevo-Novi Pazar section, with the Raska-Jarinje connection.

The task of the Working Group, as stated in the decision, is to prepare a proposal for an act establishing the criteria and method for selecting a strategic partner and expert supervision of the execution of works on the project, conduct the procedure for selecting a strategic partner for the implementation of the project, propose to the Government a decision on the selection of the strategic partner and negotiate the elements of the contract with the strategic partner.

Aleksandra Sofronijevic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, has been appointed chair of the Working Group, while Sinisa Mali, Minister of Finance, has been appointed deputy chair.

The Spatial Plan for the Special Purpose Area of the Kraljevo-Raska-Novi Pazar expressway infrastructure corridor, which will be 83.4 kilometers long, was on public display around two years ago. As previously indicated, the road will also include approximately 11.3 km of expressway from Raska to Jarinje, bringing the total length of the expressway to 94.7 kilometers.

The expressway will begin at the Adrani interchange and extend southward along a new route, bypassing the built-up area of Kraljevo on the western side and crossing the existing (old) Cacak-Kraljevo road, while the route is being planned and designed for speeds of 80 to 100 kilometers per hour.
