Jerinic: So far, 139 countries have confirmed their participation in the Expo 2027 exhibition in Belgrade

The General Director of the company “Expo 2027” (EXPO 2027) Belgrade, Danilo Jerinic has said that so far 139 countries and organizations have confirmed their participation in the international exhibition, making the Belgrade Expo, as he said, the fastest-filled Expo.

– This is the largest number of countries that has ever participated in a specialized Expo exhibition. Serbia has already broken the record. At the same time, Expo 2027 Belgrade is the fastest-filled Expo in terms of the dynamics with which countries confirmed their participation. This shows that we have been building a path of success for our Expo from day one – said Jerinic, on the occasion of the three-year anniversary of the decision of the International Exhibitions Bureau to award the organization of the specialized exhibition to Serbia.

He assessed that the victory in Paris had been not only great diplomatic and organizational news, but also the beginning of one of the most demanding development projects in modern Serbia.

– We succeeded. We won. And when we look back today at where we were then and where we are now, it is clear that we have come a long way in these three years. From candidacy to organizing major international meetings in Belgrade, to a record number of confirmed participants, and to a construction site where you can see a new part of the city being built every day – said Jerinic, as announced by Expo in a statement.

He added that, at that moment, more than 3,500 workers and more than 500 machines were on the construction site every day, and that work was being carried out intensively so that the participating countries could receive the keys to their spaces within the scheduled deadline.
