Serbia has secured an additional three months of Russian gas supply, confirmed Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic yesterday after a meeting with Gazprom’s Board of Directors Chairman Alexey Miller, RTS reported. She stated that the additional supply of Russian gas, or rather the extension for another three months after June 30, had been confirmed.

– This is important for our country, for our citizens, for our economy because these are stable deliveries, extremely affordable, but also because of the flexibility and the quantities they carry – said the minister from St. Petersburg, where she is participating in an economic forum.

She added that the Russian side had positively assessed the progress of the works on the expansion of the underground gas storage facility “Banatski Dvor”.

On the sidelines of the economic forum in St. Petersburg, the Serbian minister also spoke with Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin.
