As she stated, MOL has sent a request to the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for an extension of the deadline by 30 days, given that the current deadline expires on June 6.
– The Hungarian side requested additional time to complete the talks, confirmed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Neft, Aleksandr Dyukov – the minister told RTS in St. Petersburg, where she will participate in the International Economic Forum.
She added that MOL’s CEO Zsolt Hernadi also told her this the day before.
– So there is certainly a will on their part to find a solution – said Djedovic Handanovic.
According to her, Dyukov confirmed that NIS would also request a new extension of the operating license, which expires on June 16.
Speaking about NIS’s operations in the conditions of uncertainty about the license, she emphasized that the company continued its regular activities and that refinery processing amounted to about 10,000 tons per month. She pointed out that the instability in the world market continued to pose pressure for both Europe and Serbia, but emphasized that the state had managed to ensure market stability through previous measures.
