The implementation of the new version of the NCTS transit system, which is aligned with the customs regulations of the European Union (EU) and the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure, has begun, the Customs Administration announced.

According to the statement, delays in the operation of the new system are possible in the first few days after its introduction, but the Customs Administration’s on-call teams will be engaged to resolve them.

The administration claims that the new system represents a step forward towards the full adoption of European customs standards.

– With the launch of the new phase of the New Computerized Transit System, economic operators have been given the opportunity to simplify the transit procedure, so that those transporting goods into the “Safe and Secure Area of the EU” can complete the formalities required for entry under EU procedures at the beginning of the common transit procedure – the statement reads.
