Concretization of Strategy for Management of Mineral and Other Geological Resources of Serbia until 2040 – Ministry announces public procurement procedure for development of Action Plan

The Ministry of Mining and Energy has announced a public procurement procedure for the development of an Action Plan for the period from 2026 to 2029 for the implementation of the Strategy for the Management of Mineral and Other Geological Resources of the Republic of Serbia until 2040, with projections until 2050.

As indicated, the Law on Mining and Geological Exploration defines that the mineral policy and the development plan for geological exploration and mining are implemented through the implementation of the Strategy for the Management of Mineral and Other Geological Resources.

– The Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy is a document that ensures the effective and efficient implementation of the strategic goals set by the strategy. The Ministry of Mining and Energy, in accordance with the above provisions, is responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the mineral policy and the geological exploration development plan of Serbia and is responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the mineral policy and the geological exploration development plan – it is noted in the tender documentation.

The Action Plan, as emphasized, is a key implementation document that defines specific activities, competent authorities, deadlines and sources of financing for the implementation of the goals and priorities set by the strategy, as well as indicators for monitoring progress in achieving the strategy.

– Its adoption ensures continuity in the implementation of the strategy, as well as efficient and transparent monitoring of the results of its implementation – it is emphasized.

The development of the Action Plan, as emphasized, will enable operational planning of priorities and funds for the implementation of measures defined by the strategy, efficient coordination of all competent institutions, as well as harmonization with the budgetary and program activities of state bodies and organizations.
