– We are bringing it to a close and the contract for the construction of a gas power plant near Nis will be signed soon – said Vucic.
In mid-February, Serbia and Azerbaijan signed a framework agreement for the construction of a combined cycle power plant near Nis. The power plant should have an installed capacity of around 500 megawatts and the investment was, as the media reported at the time, estimated at 600 million euros.
Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic indicated at the time that with the completion of the gas power plant in Nis by 2030, the plan was to increase the amount of gas imported from Azerbaijan.
Vucic also spoke in Baku with representatives of numerous companies, about various projects, and in that context mentioned many neglected spas in Serbia that needed investors.
– We also have completely untouched nature around Homolje, and something must be done to attract tourists from the world and the region – said Vucic.
