Canadian Miners Secure Position in Serbia - Boron One Secures Boron Exploration Rights in the Jarandol Basin Until 2027

Canadian mining corporation Boron One Holdings Inc. (BONE.V) has successfully completed extensive fieldwork as part of its 2026 exploration program in the Jarandol Basin area, the company’s headquarters in Vancouver confirmed.

With this move, operationally carried out by its subsidiary Balkan Gold d.o.o., all legal requirements set by the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia have officially been fulfilled, allowing the exploration license for this exceptionally resource-rich location to retain a high level of legal security.

The exploration permit covers an area of 21.03 square kilometers in the municipality of Raska, positioned directly next to the well-known Piskanja deposit. Piskanja is currently considered one of the highest-quality and most concentrated undeveloped boron deposits in the world, with estimated reserves of more than 5.4 million tons of high-grade ore.

The latest exploration cycle, conducted throughout 2025 and the first half of 2026, included detailed geological mapping across six square kilometers, the collection and analysis of 178 rock and channel samples, as well as 121 soil samples, and the excavation of five large exploration trenches with a total length of 142.5 meters.

All collected materials are currently undergoing advanced geochemical and X-ray diffraction (XRD) laboratory analyses in order to precisely define the next strategy and determine drilling targets for the upcoming deep exploration phase.

Previous exploratory drilling at the site delivered impressive results, with borate intersections reaching nearly two meters in thickness and an exceptionally high boron trioxide content of up to 41.33%, significantly exceeding global economic profitability standards.

Boron has otherwise been recognized as a critical raw material of the future and an irreplaceable component in the production of batteries for electric vehicles, solar panels, and wind turbines. By securing exploration rights near Raska, Canadian investors are positioning Serbia as one of the key players on the European map of the transition toward green energy.

According to company announcements, the exploration license for the Jarandol Basin is valid until 2027, with a legal right to extension, while final laboratory analysis results are expected in the coming months and will determine the locations of new mining drill sites.
