Techron Automotive receives building permit for construction of production and storage facility in Indjija, first factory outside China

The Department of Urban Planning, Municipal and Housing Affairs, Environmental Protection and Inspection Affairs of Indjija has issued a building permit to the Chinese company Techron Automotive for the construction of a production and storage facility with a floor structure of GF+0 (in part GF+1), a pumping station, a water tank and a reception area.

Techron plans to build a factory for the production of plastic parts for the automotive industry.

The planned gross area of the production and storage facility is 4,408.07 m2.

The construction is planned in the Indjija industrial zone.

The estimated value of the works is 455,000,000 dinars.

As previously stated, plastic parts for Skoda and the Chinese Yillian will be produced in Indjija, primarily for electric and hybrid vehicles. For the needs of electric vehicles based on the MEB platform, Yilian is expected to produce approximately 4.96 million plastic parts per year, which includes interior panels, supports, instrument housings and external elements required for the assembly of these vehicles.

For Skoda vehicles, around 0.62 million protective caps (schutzkappe) will be produced, which serve to cover and protect mechanical and electrical systems, as well as 4.96 million charger and connector housings (CCS Cove), necessary for electric and hybrid models.

The production process includes finishing and packaging of the finished product – plastic parts for the automotive industry.

That the Chinese Techron plans to build a plant in Indjija, i.e. the first factory outside the country, was announced in September last year, when it was indicated that construction should start by the end of the year, and that the plant should open in mid-2026.

In November last year, Techron requested a green light to build a factory in Indjija.

As previously stated, the company initially plans to employ 65 workers, and in the final phase 200 workers.

The company produces auto parts for Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Chery, Geely cars, as well as many others.
