The construction of the first European factory of the Techron Group, which supplies giants such as the VW Group, Mercedes and BMW, is planned on plot number 5979/12 K.O. Indjija, with an area of 26,644 m2, intended for the construction of industrial zones. The Chinese tire manufacturing plant Toyo Tires is also located nearby.
The project envisages the construction of a production and storage facility with an administrative area and a substation, and the total gross developed construction area of all facilities is 4,528.07 m2.
As stated, plastic parts for Skoda and Chinese Yilian will be produced in Indjija, primarily for electric and hybrid vehicles.
For the needs of electric vehicles based on the MEB platform for Yilian (Chinese company Foshan Yilian Automotive Supplies Co), the production of approximately 4.96 million plastic parts per year is planned, which includes interior panels, supports, instrument housings and external elements required for the assembly of these vehicles.
For Skoda vehicles, approximately 0.62 million protective caps (schutzkappe) will be produced, which serve to cover and protect mechanical and electrical systems, as well as 4.96 million charger and connector housings (CCS Cove), necessary for electric and hybrid models.
Therefore, the total annual planned production of all plastic parts at the Indjija factory will amount to approximately 10.54 million pieces.
The production process includes finishing and packaging of the finished product - plastic parts for the automotive industry.
The material processed is plastic granulate, which is a finished product from other industries. It is thermally processed, i.e. melted and pressed into molds.
The total number of employees will be 65 - 15 employees will work in production and 20 in administration and sales during the first shift. During the second and third shifts, 15 employees are expected to work in production. The factory is designed to operate 52 weeks a year, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, while the number of working days in a year is expected to be 330 days, with standard working hours of 8 hours per shift.
As previously announced, the factory will employ around 200 workers when it reaches full production capacity. The annual processing capacity of materials, i.e. plastic mass (granulate), is 900 tons, and the materials processed in the factory include: PA6 - Polyamide 6 (nylon 6) and PC/ABC - Polycarbonate / Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene.
Raw materials are delivered to the complex by trucks, and finished products and waste will also be transported by trucks from the complex. The planned monthly number of trucks for delivering raw materials is 40, for shipping products 160, and for shipping waste two trucks under normal production conditions.
Techron was founded in 2005 in Beijing, and focuses on precision tooling for plastic casting, product design and production for the automotive industry. It has one R&D center, four production sites in China and one factory that will open in Serbia, according to the latest announcements in the middle of this year.
Techron Group currently has around 1,000 employees.
The main product portfolio is filters, busbars, EPS gears, engines, hydrogen linings and installation parts.
Key customers include VW Group, BMW, Mercedes, Magna, BorgWarner and all major Chinese original equipment manufacturers.
