Office for IT and eGovernment: Serbia exports more ICT services than Bulgaria in 2025

The Director of the Office for Information Technology and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanovic, emphasized that Serbia’s results in 2025 in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) showed that the sector had become one of the strongest export potentials of Serbia.

Jovanovic pointed out that, according to data from the National Bank of Serbia and the Central Bank of Bulgaria, Serbia achieved a higher export of ICT services in 2025 than Bulgaria.

The total value of ICT services exports from Serbia in 2025 amounted to EUR 4.55 billion, while ICT services exports from Bulgaria reached EUR 4.27 billion, the Director of the Office specified.

As he stated, with this result, Serbia significantly surpassed Bulgaria for the first time in terms of the value of ICT services exports, although it used to have almost half the exports of that country.

– The long-term growth dynamics are particularly important. In the period from 2012 to 2025, exports of ICT services from Serbia increased approximately twelve times – from almost EUR 375 million to more than EUR 4.5 billion – said Jovanovic.

According to him, in the same period, exports of ICT services from Bulgaria recorded an increase of approximately seven times, from almost EUR 574 million to more than EUR 4.2 billion.
