Domestic startup Refine secures USD 600,000 investment for further growth and expansion into international market

Serbian startup Refine has successfully closed a pre-seed investment round of USD 600,000, led by World Solver Syndicate.

Refine is developing a platform that allows companies to turn existing internal documentation and knowledge into short, interactive and gamified simulations intended for employee training and development. In this way, organizations can accelerate the learning process and improve skills within teams, while the content is adapted to the specific industry, level of experience of employees and specific needs of the company. The concept is based on scientific research and designed to enable quick and practical acquisition of knowledge through realistic business scenarios.

The company, which is a member of the Science and Technology Park Nis, was founded in 2025, and in a short time managed to go from the initial idea and product development to concrete market demand and the first clients. After initial support through a grant and an angel investment of EUR 50,000, the team began the process of raising new capital at the end of 2025, which was successfully completed in early March 2026.

Today, Refine collaborates with several companies and strategic partners, and the new investment will enable further development of the platform and accelerated expansion into international markets.

Aleksandar Stojanovic, the company’s founder, emphasizes that the process of raising investment was dynamic and demanding, but also extremely important for further validation of the product. During that period, the team spoke with a large number of investors, and through numerous presentations and market analyses, the value of the solutions that Refine is developing was gradually confirmed.
