Speaking at the 33rd Kopaonik Business Forum, he said that Serbia’s economic growth of two percent in 2025 was largely the result of internal and external uncertainties.
- Foreign direct investment in 2025 was halved compared to 2024, but we expect a partial recovery in the coming period - Ratnovski said at the panel “Serbia’s Economy in Focus: Trends, Risks and Opportunities.” He stated that IMF estimates indicate Serbia’s foreign exchange reserves will remain stable, and that low public debt and a controlled deficit have been further strengthened over the past decade, which is an important achievement of the authorities. - It's also a good thing that the Serbian Tax Administration is accelerating hiring and introducing digital solutions - Ratnovski said.
