The so-called moles for digging the Belgrade subway tunnels will arrive in our capital in the first half of next year, announced city manager Miroslav Cuckovic.

As he stated, digging will begin from two directions - from the Pancevo Bridge and from the direction of Zeleznik towards the Belgrade Fair.

He stated that digging of subway stations would also begin the next year, and that work would first begin in Zarkovo and on Cukaricka padina, and that, from the direction of the Pancevo Bridge, work would begin on the Skadarlija and Republic Square stations.

Speaking about the new bridge over the Sava, Cuckovic, during a guest appearance on the Belgrade Chronicle of RTS, stated that the bridge would be three times larger than the Old Sava Bridge, which had been removed, and that half of the steel structure produced in China had already arrived at the construction site.

- The new bridge will have two pillars in the water, which will facilitate navigation on the Sava, as well as an independent tram yard - he said and reminded that new railway compositions had also been ordered from China, which would operate from Expo to the city center.
