Mobile phone users in Serbia may have noticed a change on their mobile devices today – they are no longer on 4G, but on the 5G network.

The introduction of the 5G network means much faster data transfer, playing video games without lags and watching movies online without interruptions.

Three operators have been awarded the 5G network license in Serbia: Telekom Srbija, Yettel and A1, and the total value of the licenses is slightly more than 300 million euros. As RATEL announced in mid-November, each operator will pay about 100 million euros for the license.

Mobile phone users must have mobile devices that support the 5G network in order to be able to use all its advantages. Otherwise, they will remain on 4G.
