Yettel acquires 5G spectrum – Commercial launch of 5G in December

Yettel has successfully participated in the 5G radio frequency spectrum auction organized by the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL), held from November 3 to 7, 2025. Yettel acquired 5G spectrum in the 700 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 3.6 GHz bands and renewed its spectrum rights for the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2100 MHz bands for a total value of more than EUR 100 million. Once the regulatory process is complete, Yettel will begin the technical rollout and commercial launch of its 5G services, the company announced.
