Ministry: Refinery in Pancevo to operate until November 25, care will be taken to ensure even supply of gas stations

Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) has confirmed that the oil refinery in Pancevo, with its oil stocks, will continue to operate until November 25, the Ministry of Mining and Energy announced after a meeting of the standing task force of the Organization for the National Strategy for Crisis Situations in the Oil Sector.

Among other things, it was said at the meeting that care would be taken to coordinate even supply of all gas stations, which is especially important for small gas stations, the statement said.

The main topics of the meeting, in addition to the continuation of the operations of the refinery in Pancevo, were transport logistics and the dynamics of imports of petroleum products from neighboring countries.

Acting Assistant Minister of Mining and Energy for the Oil and Gas Sector Sasa Kokovic said that the relevant ministry, together with other state institutions, had been particularly engaged in supporting and coordinating logistics in order to make maximum use of all capacities for the transport of imported petroleum products.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves, the Energy Reserves Administration, the Customs Administration, the Tax Administration, Transnafta, NIS, the Association of Oil Companies of Serbia and member companies of the association.
