Tender for construction of wastewater treatment plant in Srpska Crnja to be opened soon

The Ministry of Economy and the Municipality of Nova Crnja recently signed a contract for the implementation of the project “Construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Srpska Crnja.” The value of the project, as announced, is 552.6 million dinars, and the funds are fully provided from the budget of the Ministry of Economy.

The date of the public procurement announcement for the selection of the contractor is November 24, 2025, as can be seen from the previous announcement.

After the completion of the legal procedure, the works should, as previously announced, begin by the end of the year, depending on weather conditions.

The project is planned to last three years and represents one of the largest infrastructure projects in the history of the municipality. In addition to the construction of the treatment plant, the second phase of the project is also planned - the construction of a fecal sewage system, which will form a single functional unit of the wastewater treatment system in Srpska Crnja.

Otherwise, members of the Serbian Government adopted a Conclusion establishing that the Project “Construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Srpska Crnja” is of importance to Serbia, which envisages the construction of a modern plant that will contribute to environmental protection, improving the quality of life and preserving groundwater.
