The length of the double-tube tunnel is 3.5 kilometers, and it will connect Novi Sad and Petrovaradin, with the Belgrade-Sid and Belgrade-Sabac-Loznica highways.
The groundbreaking of the second tube has been announced for next month, and when that is done, the “Iriski Venac” tunnel will be the longest in Serbia.

The Novi Sad-Ruma expressway is 44.41 kilometers long, and its construction began on May 1, 2021, when the works were planned to be completed in three years.
The road will have four lanes of three and a half meters each, without hard shoulders, and will connect the highways to Sid and Subotica.
The value of the project is estimated at EUR 606 million, and the main contractor is the Chinese company CRBC.
