Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that the state would invest around EUR 220 million in the expansion of industrial zones in Leskovac, Cuprija and Indjija in order to attract foreign investors.

At an extraordinary press conference, Vucic emphasized that the goal was to create conditions for the arrival of new investors.

He stated that part of the education system, especially dual education, had been destroyed, which further complicated attracting investors.

– So that at least by that and with the subsidies we provide we can be attractive to foreign investors. We will invest in particular in the expansion of the zones - Leskovac, Cuprija, Indjija – Vučić said at an extraordinary press conference.

Vucic said that the construction of infrastructure - including electricity, gas and substations - was expensive, but necessary for Serbia to remain competitive in the foreign investment market.
