US Treasury Department issues special license to NIS until October 8

On September 30, the US Treasury Department issued a new special license that postponed the entry of full sanctions against NIS into force, and allowed the company to continue its operating activities until October 8, 2025, at the latest, Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) announced today.

NIS reminds that it has also submitted an additional request for removal from the SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list. This is a lengthy and complex process, and the initial request was sent on March 14 of this year.

NIS continues with the activities aimed at overcoming the current situation, and it will inform the public about any new circumstances that may affect the company’s operations, in a timely manner, the statement concludes.

JANAF: license for transport to Pancevo extended by another week

Jadranski Naftovod (JANAF) has obtained a license allowing the implementation of the Crude Oil Transportation Agreement concluded with the company NIS a.d., valid until October 8, 2025, says the press release reported by Beta.

The press release adds that, in the coming days, JANAF, through its US attorney and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, “will submit a request to OFAC for an extension of the license.”

NIS a.d.’s activities towards the US authorities will play a key role in the extension of the license after October 8, 2025, the press release adds.
