According to the decision, the pavilion will cover a gross area of 846.70 m² and will be located at the former Hall 12—now referred to as Hall 5—at Bulevar Vojvode Misica 14, cadastral parcel no. 10652/10, unit no. 25, in the Savski Venac district.
The project was approved by a legally binding decision dated June 15, 2025. Earlier, on June 6, a temporary construction permit had been issued for the same facility, which will serve as an Expo showroom, as previously reported by eKapija.
The decision was delivered to the applicant and the building inspectorate. Construction officially began on June 23, 2025, and completion is scheduled for July 15.
eKapija visited the site and found active work underway. The former Hall 5 is now branded for EXPO purposes, with exterior signage and interior renovations in progress, including adhesive film applications.
The estimated value of the construction, as stated in the permit, is RSD 178.5 million (approximately EUR 1.5 million). The permit is valid for three years from the date of issuance.
The temporary permit was issued in line with Article 147, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Planning and Construction, which regulates the construction of modular facilities for international exhibitions and similar events.
The conceptual design for the showroom was awarded to Novi Sad-based studio Modelart Architects.
The showroom will include six zones: Zone 1 (Lobby), Zone 2 (Presentation and Projection Room), Zone 3 (Meeting and Business Area), Zone 4 (Sample Pavilion for Mid-Sized International Participants), Zone 5 (Sample Pavilion for Small Participants in Pre-Fit-Out Phase), and Zone 6 (Rest Area and Gift Shop). An outdoor zone is also planned. Further details are available in our extended coverage.
