UniCredit Bank and EBRD support women in business – EUR 5 million of favorable credits provided

UniCredit Bank and the EBRD presented the program Women in Business on Friday, June 9. A total of EUR 5 million will be provided within the program for crediting small and medium enterprises run by women. The money has been provided by the EBRD, whereas UniCredit Bank Serbia is to use the funds to increase the crediting of those companies.

The companies will be provided with increased access and more options of financing, as well as more affordable prices, lower securities and expert support, which is to be provided by the EBRD program for counseling small enterprises.

UniCredit Bank board member in charge of the retail sector, Nikola Vuletic, said that the funds were being approved for the working capital and investments, with an annual interest rate of 2.7% to 4% and in the amount of up to EUR 500,000 in dinar counter currency.

The credit for the working capital is approved for a maximum repayment period of 36 months, whereas the investment credit is approved for a period of 60 months, with a grace period of 12 months.

UniCredit Bank, as reported, will not be charging for the account maintenance expenses during the repayment period.
